We’ll explore how to address our data scarcity, understand who controls existing African data, and develop strategies to generate, own, and utilize the data needed for our AI-driven future.
Ai Salon: Trustworthy AI Futures [SF] | June 10, 5:30pm. If AI is just “normal technology,” what specific existing institutions (regulatory agencies, liability law, market forces) should shoulder primary responsibility for safety—and what radical new bodies or doctrines suddenly look unnecessary or even harmful? Join us for this expert series in which will explore all of this and more.

Ai Salon x Creative Mornings 🎨
Last month, The Ai Salon partnered with Creative Mornings on a symposium event in which we had 50+ AI thinkers and artists come together to discuss AI’s implications for creative fields, human artistry and the fundamental creativity that makes us human.
We gathered as a larger group at Rivian’s beautiful SF office space before breaking into into five sub-groups — each one oriented around a certain discussion point. Our summary of the conversations will be published right here on our Substack in the next few weeks. 🎇
